Nottingham have gone up in performance since November. At the beginning of the second part of the league season, they fell on the ground of Manchester United, but they did not disappoint game-wise. They are second to last in the table, but only a point away from salvation.
Chelsea broke a five-match wait for a league win, but despite the triumph over Bournemouth they are still only eighth. They are six points behind the top four guaranteeing the Champions League and have a game in hand.
Nottingham’s key figures
Not only with four shots, but also a great success rate in the duels at the tip of the attack, the team benefits from the summer signing from Union Berlin Taiwo Awoniyi. Dean Henderson is charming between the three posts, his absence against Manchester due to the away game was noticeable.
Chelsea’s key figures
The visitors have long relied on Mason Mount, the English offensive midfielder has scored three goals and assisted six times so far. Kai Havertz is struggling in terms of performance, but 5+1 numbers are decent numbers considering the form of Chelsea’s attack this year.
What to expect and what to bet on?
Nottingham, mainly due to a poor start to the season, are generally woeful in defence and attack. With 11 goals scored, it has the worst offense after Wolverhampton, and with 33 goals conceded, it has the second worst defense.
Even Chelsea are miserable up front. It has scored only 19 goals, the fewest of the teams in the first half of the table. Moreover, it has scored more than once in only two of its last seven games.
Considering Nottingham’s long term poor defensive line and the fact that Chelsea have only conceded two goals in their last three games, I think the visitors can win.
