Monday’s English Premier League schedule features a rescue clash between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. What to expect from the confrontation of the 20th and 16th team in the table and what to bet on?
Nottingham has strengthened massively in the summer, but it hasn’t brought them good results so far anyway. They have lost their last five games and dropped to last place in the table. They are currently just two points behind the relegation places.
Aston Villa have turned around after a terrible start, they are now unbeaten for three rounds, on the other hand they are still only 16th and their performance remains behind expectations. The relegation zone has only a two-point cushion.
Taiwo Awoniyi is doing well in the home jersey, the Nigerian striker has scored twice so far after his transfer from Union Berlin. Welsh signing from Liverpool Neco Williams is also putting in a decent performance on the edge of defence.
On the away side it’s hard to find anyone in form, Ollie Watkins has one goal and two assists. On the other hand, names such as Danny Ings and Philippe Coutinho have not caught on at all so far, while Emiliano Martinez also remains behind expectations.
Nottingham got their only win at home, plus they have scored four goals in their last two home games. He would like to build on that on Monday.
Moreover, Aston Villa are nil away from Villa Park, they haven’t got a point on the road this season with a 2: 7 aggregate score.
Considering the Villans’ terrible away form, I think Nottingham will break the slump and not lose at home.
