However, despite a successful season, head coach Jorge Sampaoli is leaving the club. Fabrizio Romano came up with the information on Friday, the reason for the 62-year-old coach’s departure is said to be a different view of the club’s strategy.
The Argentine has been at Marseille since March last year. Overall, the club played 66 games under his guidance, winning 36 of them and scoring a point in the other 16.
This year, several interesting names were part of the famous club’s squad, such as William Saliba, Matteo Guendouzi, and Arkadiusz Milik.
Fabrizio Romano also reported that the club has already found a replacement for him. The replacement is expected to be Croatian coach Igor Tudor, who managed Antonin Barak at Hellas Verona last season. The season before that he was even assistant coach at the famous Juventus Turin.
