Not even Messi is enough! Kylian Mbappé is very close to leaving PSG
If you’ve ever seen Mexican soap operas, Kylian Mbappé’s transfer may remind you strongly of them. The saga surrounding the French striker has been dragging on for at least half a year, maybe a year. Now it could all be coming to an end.
If you’ve ever seen Mexican soap operas, Kylian Mbappé’s transfer may remind you strongly of them. The saga surrounding the French striker has been dragging on for at least half a year, maybe over a year. Now it could all be coming to an end.
Kylian Mbappé has been a huge fan of Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo since he was a kid. Lots of pictures from Kylian’s childhood can be found online with posters of Los Blancos and the Portuguese on the wall. After a breakthrough season at Monaco, Real Madrid were interested in him, but Mbappé opted for an intermediate season at PSG, with the understanding that he would don the white jersey afterwards.
And that moment is inexorably approaching. Although PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently stated that Mbappé’s wishes have created a competitive team and thus he has no reason to leave, the French superstar sees it differently.
With the arrival of Neymar and Messi, he would be only the third in line. Mbappé, however, believes he has the qualities to be the star of his team. And he has a unique opportunity to be the number one man at Real Madrid. After the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Los Blancos are struggling a bit and are looking for someone to help Benzema with his goal scoring.
According to Josep Pedrerola of El Chirinquito, Kylian Mbappé will meet with Al-Khelaifi on Monday and ask him to negotiate with Real Madrid.
If you’re wondering about Josep Pedrerola’s credibility, you better believe he’s a close friend of Florentino Pérez and was the first to announce back in March that Ramos and Messi would play together at PSG. He was also the first to announce the departure of Zinedine Zidane or Raphael Varane. So he has very precise information about Real Madrid.
The case of Kylian Mbappé strongly resembles the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. In 2009, Manchester United was one of the best teams in the world. They dominated the Premier League three times in a row, reached the Champions League final twice in a row, where they won one trophy. Despite this, Ronaldo decided to make his dream come true and go to Real Madrid.
The president of the Parisian club is not in an enviable situation. Mbappé’s contract expires next year and the young Frenchman has already decided not to sign a new one. PSG are therefore facing two options.
Either sell Mbappé this year with at least some profit (there is talk of 150 million euros), or show their pride and stubbornly not let the disgruntled player out of the team. In that case, one of the greatest talents in the world would leave for free next year.
Mbappé was greeted with boos from the fans at the weekend. They strongly dislike his desire to leave, but this move may have only hastened his departure to Madrid.
