The Livesport Prague Open is slowly coming to an end. The first semi-final match is over and the Czech representative Linda Noskova has entered it. She didn’t want to be on the court for long and she blew her opponent away.

The weather in Prague is not very good for the tournament. The duels were postponed throughout Saturday and the same was the case on Sunday, but after noon the rain stopped and the matches could start.

The first match was between the Romanian Jaqueline Cristian and the Japanese Nao Hibin, with the latter winning the first set. The second set was suspended at 3:1 for the Romanian due to the weather.

The second match was able to finish. The 18-year-old Czech hope Linda Noskova was up against the ten years older German Tamara Korpatsch.

The Czech representative was well aware that she had to be fast if she wanted to finish the match without interruptions. And her performance in Prague’s Stromovka looked like that.

The match lasted one hour and five minutes and the Czech won 6: 1 and 6: 1. She made only 12 unforced errors and will be the favourite in the final.

“It was not easy for us. The organizers kept postponing the start of the match for an hour and it was not pleasant. I am glad that I managed to play well.

I didn’t have a chance to play or train for the last two days, so I tried not to play too many long exchanges and go for winning balls,” said Noskova in the post-match interview.

She will have to wait for her opponent, waiting for better weather. If it clears up, the final match should be played today. However, the situation is not looking very positive.

If the tournament doesn’t get finished tomorrow, it will remain unfinished and each player will get points for where she currently finishes. But let’s hope it doesn’t have to come to that.
