On the basis of the evidence before us, we concluded that the material published on the internet did not provide a complete picture and that Mason had not committed the offences in relation to which he was originally charged. However, as Mason publicly admitted today, he made mistakes for which he takes responsibility,” the statement said.

However, the 21-year-old talented forward apparently does not have to worry about being without a commitment for some time. According to the latest information, AS Roma and Galatasaray are interested in his services. And based on British media reports, Al-Ettifaq are also among the serious suitors.

The Sun and Mirror newspapers report that the Saudi Arabian outfit is willing to offer the English forward a very decent wage. Specifically, ten million pounds a year.

It should be noted, Greenwood was not the only player who was headed from the Premier League to Al-Ettifaq. As well as currently being managed by Steven Gerrard, the outfit also brought Jordan Henderson and Moussa Dembele into their ranks.
