No Scotland, no party! Scottish fans turned London into a rubbish dump but cleaned it up before the game
For the first time since Euro 96, England and Scotland faced off in a major tournament on Friday night and it was a spicy affair. Thousands of Scots arrived in London and turned it into a dump. Before they went into the pubs to watch the game, however, they cleaned up the rubbish.

Scotland have now played two games at the European Championships. In the first, on home soil in Glasgow, the Scots were unable to beat the Czech Republic, losing 2-0, but on Friday they will face a spicy game in London against England.
England and Scotland? There is no need to talk about this rivalry for long. Moreover, the Scots are very active and several thousand of them travelled to London. A few even arrived the day before the match. And they had a great time!
The streets of London have learned what it means to be a true Scot. And the rain? It didn’t spoil the atmosphere and the positive mood of the Scots. On the contrary. As the Scots themselves sang, no Scotland, no party.
There were fireworks in the air before the game, bottles were smashed… The streets were a mess and London was a dump. Thirty people were even arrested by the police for various disorderly conduct.
However, when the Scots made a mess, they cleaned it up. Photos of the clean-up began circulating through social media and the British media on Saturday.
And it should be noted that the clean-up happened before the game, before most Scots had holed up in pubs, where fans then watched the game because they couldn’t get into the stadium.
It is certainly not optimal that the Scots created such a dump in the first place. However, it is creditable that they took the clean-up into their own hands and didn’t leave it to the Londoners.
