Ngannou responds to White: I don’t actually care what he says or tells. Dana can’t hurt me anymore

Francis Ngannou has decided not to renew his contract in the UFC and is a free fighter. The popular heavyweight has been declaring this move for quite some time, as he doesn’t like the conditions in the most famous MMA organization in the world. Dana White is taking his demise hard and hasn’t forgotten to give him a good kicking. But then came the retaliation from the fighter himself.
Last January was the last time we saw Francis Ngannou in the cage. Back then, the French-Cameroonian fighter beat Ciryl Gane on points and showed that he was the best heavyweight fighter.
Of course, not only after that, he widely criticized the UFC management and the set contracts, which are not very friendly for the fighters, not only in terms of financial terms.
That’s also why he made it clear that it’s not certain that he will renew in the UFC. His contract expires this January and it is now clear that there will be no extension.
Dana White was not at all happy with this outcome of the negotiations and has been leaning hard on Ngannou. “We’ve done everything we can to come to an agreement with him, but he thinks there are bigger chances and opportunities outside of the UFC with easier opponents.
He had an offer to fight the best fighter of all time and to do that he would be the highest paid heavyweight in UFC history. However, he chose not to fight the best fighter of all time and instead chose to fight easier fighters,” he said at the press conference.
Those words went over well with the popular fighter, who would like to make a change in the organization even in terms of health insurance. And so he, too, decided to respond.
“I don’t really care what he says and tells. Dana can’t hurt me anymore. Where I come from, I’ve heard much worse things about myself that have hurt me. But I still managed to work my way up and get to where I am now. What he said, he said. It’s his problem.
I know I’m here and I have a good future, and I think what he was expressing was frustration, because at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what he said. But of course he is angry. He’s not happy about the situation. He saw his champion go, which hasn’t happened in a long time,” he said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.
So because of this departure, unfortunately we won’t get to see one of the most anticipated fights, the fight with Jon Jones. However, a return to the UFC from Ngannou’s perspective is definitely not realistic in the near future.
