Neymar was upset by the results of the Ballon d’Or poll. He particularly disagrees with the ranking of his national teammate
He himself was not nominated for the Ballon d’Or this year, but he still had something to say about the results. Neymar, the PSG star, commented not only on the winners of the poll, but also on his national teammate’s placing.

This year’s Ballon d’Or award was special. Lionel Messi was unsurprisingly, and perhaps unfairly, absent from the nominations, Cristiano Ronaldo did make the cut, but his chances of winning were minimal. In addition, Neymar, for example, was missing from the poll.
The individual award went to Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. There is little doubt as to whether he deserved it. He had the best season of his career, leading his team to win the league and the Champions League.
Neymar feels the same way. “An absolutely deserved victory. He’s a top player,” he expressed on his Twitter account.
But if there was anything the Brazilian didn’t like, it was the positioning of his national teammate and another Real Madrid star – Vinicius. He, like Benzema, has had the best season of his career, finally confirming his potential with great numbers.
It was to be expected that he would finish high. In the end, he finished eighth. And that’s what Neymar doesn’t like. “This must be a joke! He should be in the top three at least,” says the Brazilian national team leader.
Sadio Mané is in second place and Kevin De Bruyne is third. Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah round out the top five. Kylian Mbappé and Thibaut Courtois are still ahead of Vinicius.
