Brazilian footballer Neymar has broken his silence and spoken out about an alleged altercation in the PSG cabin. He confirmed the speculations but said it was just a light exchange of views. It was nothing special within the French club.

The acrimonious altercation within the club was said to have occurred after a bad match in which PSG fell short to Monaco. The Parisian club put in a very poor performance and their opponents’ victory was well deserved.

However, Neymar did not accept the defeat and accused some of his teammates of poor performance. PSG’s sporting director also had his say and was not happy with the team’s performance. Neymar and Marquinhos objected to his words and an argument ensued.

With a cool head, Neymar has now commented on the incident and explained everything to the journalists. He confirmed a certain incident in the PSG cabin, but also said that it was nothing serious.

“Yes, it happened. It was a slight exchange of views, we are not used to losing, so every loss makes us angry. But it is part of the process of improvement,” Neymar said at a news conference.

Neymar said the incident should not disrupt relations within the team. “It happens every day, but I love all the players here. It’s like with my girlfriend. Football is not just about love and friendship. We respect each other and sometimes it happens that we have a disagreement,” the Brazilian continued.

Neymar also didn’t hide his disappointment that such information gets out in the public and the media works with it. According to him, the media has adjusted the reality, which is not unusual in the football world.

It should be noted that PSG were missing several key players in the league match against Monaco, led by Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi. Both players are currently working on their recovery to be able to play in the important Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

The latter is scheduled for Tuesday, with PSG starting the double-header on home soil. According to the latest information, Mbappé and Messi took part in a pre-match training session, so there is a possibility that they will both start the cup duel.
