Next time it will be Schick, hopefully other players will get better and we will add those who surprised us now, says Šilhavý

The Czech national football team drew in the final match of the first meeting after the Euro when Matěj Vydra scored a point in the last minute of the friendly match. Coach Jaroslav Šilhavy had several players drop out before the meeting who would have played otherwise.

The draw with Ukraine is not a failure, but the problem arises when you score only two goals in the whole match. And Vydrova’s came at the end of the setup.

The Czech team simply has a problem scoring goals in the absence of Patrik Schick. But the Bayer Leverkusen striker shouldn’t miss the next game.

“Patrik will be here for the next game, I believe he will guarantee some goals. We believe that other players who were missing at this reunion will recover and we will nominate a stronger team of more experienced players. They will be completed by players who may have convinced us now. I believe that the nomination will be such that we will manage both qualification matches in October,” said coach Šilhavý.

These matches will be played on 8 and 11 October, when the Czech team first hosts Wales in Eden and then travels to Kazan to fight for all the points against Belarus, who are not allowed to host their matches at home.

Moreover, Wales helped the Czech team considerably by only drawing with Estonia. The barrage is thus a little closer again.

“Of course we welcome the draw for Wales. We lost points there, we shouldn’t have. Last time Wales was catching up against Belarus, but in the end they managed to win. I admit that the draw at home against Estonia was quite surprising. I believe that in the next match against Wales we will be able to do it at home, we will make up some ground and stay in second place,” added the Czech coach.
