Czech fans will be interested in the match between Prague Slavia and Austrian team LASK Linz. How did the club from the city on the Danube comment on the match in Prague’s Eden? Who do the Austrians think is the most dangerous in the Sešiovans’ jersey? Who will the Austrian team miss?

On the club’s website, the Austrians recall their success in the regular group of the Conference Europa League, when they collected the most points of all teams in this competition (16 points) and conceded only one goal.

For the club from Linz, this autumn’s promotion from the group marks their second ever participation in the knockout stage of the European Cups. LASK’s first success in this regard came in the 2019/20 season, when they faced Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and then the famous Manchester United in the spring part of the Europa League.

However, the Austrians also point out that Slavia are in excellent form, having not known the bitterness of defeat in their last six games and are leading the Czech league. Of the Prague club’s players, they were most impressed by the speedster Yira Sor, who scored two goals against Turkey’s Fenerbahçe Istanbul. They also notice their former footballer Mads Emil Madsen, who has not yet entered European competitions in a Sešivan jersey.

LASK coach Andreas Wieland commented on the upcoming match for the club’s website. We won these knockout matches in the autumn. We have had very good results in the Conference League so far, but we also know that we will face a very strong opponent. We want to offer our fans, who are accompanying us to Prague in large numbers, a courageous performance.”

The Austrian team will miss several players (Filipovic, Gruber, Horvath, Jovicic, Raguz) in Prague. The most noticeable hit to the Austrian team might be the absence of their spielmacher Horvath.

Sascha Horvath is listed on the club’s website as a missing player without giving any further details. Let’s hope that the player, who was also pointed out by Jindřich Trpišovský, will eventually start so that the fans can have the best possible football experience.
