Allan Saint-Maximin will no longer be active in the English Premier League. In fact, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed through his account that the two clubs have reached an agreement and we are just waiting for the official announcement.
The 26-year-old winger has signed a contract with Al Ahli until 2026, with final confirmation expected to come in the next few dozen hours.
Al Ahli will send 30 million to Newcastle, according to The Athletic. The Saudi Arabian outfit has thus acquired another very solid reinforcement.
In addition to Saint-Maximin, the arrival of Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City is also to be officially confirmed. The latter cost Al Ahli 35 million euros, signing a long-term contract valid until 2027.
Édouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino and new manager Matthias Jaissle have also managed to join the club during the summer transfer window.
Saint-Maximin at Newcastle
The 26-year-old French winger transferred to Newcastle from Nice at the start of 2019 for €18 million.
Since then, Saint-Maximin has played 124 competitive games in a Newcastle jersey, scoring thirteen goals and adding twenty-one assists.
