Newcastle can’t be happy with their start to the season. After four rounds, he has just one point, which he got against Southampton. It hasn’t been able to beat West Ham, Aston Villa or Manchester United and has come away empty-handed each time.
Leeds are not much better off, but they had a much tougher draw. Losses to Liverpool and Manchester United are understandable, but more could have been made of the games against Everton (2-2) and Burnley (1-1).
Newcastle’s mainstays probably don’t need much introduction, without Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson, the Magpies might not have played in the Premier League this season. Joe Willock and Miguel Almirón also deserve attention.
In the Leeds squad we can find the skilful Brazilian Raphinha, the English player of the year according to the cabinet Kalvin Phillips or the young French goalkeeper Ilian Meslier. Stuart Dallas is also a star of the team.
Newcastle are plagued by a passing defence, on average getting three goals per game in league play. Leeds United are only slightly better off, getting one less goal so far, but even so, 2.75 goals per game is a crazy number.
Given the quality of the away team, I expect them to take the game and win.
