Will Liverpool snap up the Bayern Munich star? That’s the big question at the moment, but the English outfit have been linked with a move for Ryan Gravenberch this week. And according to Tottenham’s former number one goalkeeper, at the very least a loan move would be a perfectly logical option for both parties.

Gravenberch has been linked with a move to Liverpool, according to recent reports, and that was back in the winter transfer window.

In fact, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has spoken to Football Insider that Gravenberch is struggling for playing space at Bayern and coming to Liverpool could help him a lot in that regard.

And not just for the player himself. According to the former England international, at the very least, a loan move would be a logical option for both parties.

What’s more, Gravenberch’s agent Rafael Pimenta was spotted at Anfield during the goalless draw with Chelsea. And that, no doubt, adds a lot to the current speculation.

How does Robinson see it?

“He has a lot of potential. Let’s not forget that he is still only 20 years old. From what I’ve seen of him, I think he’s a good player. Maybe he needs a new manager. He could flourish under someone like Jürgen Klopp,” Robinson said in the above interview.

“If Liverpool can get him on loan, why not? Gravenberch is a good player who hasn’t quite reached his potential yet. He played great at Ajax. I was really impressed with him. That’s why Bayern Munich took him. He hasn‘t made it there, but he has very good competition,” explains the England international.

He goes on to add that a transfer to Liverpool could be in the interest of all parties involved.

Gravenberch came to Bayern last July for a fee of 18 and a half million euros. He then started 11 league games for the Bavarian side in the current campaign, each time coming off the bench. He has not scored a single goal or assist so far.
