New Rosicky at Arsenal? Young talent scores on debut, fans see Rosicky in him

Arsenal started with youngsters and players who don’t get as much space in the league. After thirty minutes, they were 2-0 up, with Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe scoring. They went into the booths with a 1:2 scoreline.
After the change of sides, Nketiah completed his hat-trick and Mikel Arteta could afford to send the youngest player on the roster. Charlie Patino came on for Emile Smith-Rowe in the 80th minute.
It was the 18-year-old central midfielder’s first start for Arsenal’s A-team. And he immediately graced it with a goal, just clearing the ball into the empty part of the net after excellent work by Pepe.

The 18-year-old midfielder’s performance has captivated fans around the world, with Czech ones seeing Tomáš Rosický in him. “Charlie reminds me a lot of TR7 in terms of movement, so hopefully he grows into a player at least as good,” one fan wrote on Facebook.
Czech Gunners fans see the similarity in movement, which Patino is supposed to resemble Rosicky. “Am I the only one who finds Patino’s flowing movement reminiscent of Rosa?”” another asked. We may find out how similar these players are in the coming months, as Mikel Arteta is betting heavily on the youngsters.
