The fight between Vemola and Vondracek is unlikely to take place
In recent days, the domestic fight scene has been resonating with the case of Petr Vondráček, who barged into Karlos Vémola’s training session at Prague’s Lanna Gym and challenged him to a fight. Vémola himself informed the public about the incident on his Instagram and since then the ice has started to move.
In the post, Vémola revealed that the former K-1 veteran Vondráček was not in great shape and only Yakuza coach had to put an end to his rampage. The Terminator further stated that no promoter would have given them the fight anyway due to Vondracek’s controversial nature and offered him the opportunity to come to Reinders or Monster Gym to settle accounts like men.
Immediately afterwards, the promoter of the Yangames organization, Adrian Smrcka, got in touch and offered the two a possible fight. “I’m offering both of them a match. Vondracek told me he’s in, Vémola hasn’t written me back yet. If they say that no one would offer them a fight, then I offer them a fight in the summer at Yangames on Štvanica,” Smrčka told Kaocko.cz.
The match offer was spiced up with a prize of CZK 1 million for the winner. But the chances of Oktagon releasing its champion, who has struggled with various injuries in recent years, for such a fight are highly unlikely. But another player is coming on the scene.
Cverna has signed up to fight Vondracek
Alex Cverna reacted to the situation and stood up for his friend and challenged Vondracek to a fight. He also offered an organization under which the fight could take place.
“This is really over the top, to take on someone in a gym where it’s not done. We are all equal there,” Cverna said in a video posted on the MMA Shorties.cz website.
“If Petr has so much energy to go to the fight, then he should finally get up and come with me. We are equal in age, so let him go. We have another Fight Night Challenge coming up, so we can go hard and strong. I don’t like him insulting my friend and brother Carlos,” he defended his friend.
Cverna further informed that Vondracek has been offered to fight him three times already, but always unsuccessfully. Will he catch the thrown lasso?
