New MMA organization RFA aims to build a show like the UFC, NBA or NHL

This Saturday, fans of combat sports on the domestic scene can look forward to the second tournament of the new MMA organization Real Fight Arena (RFA). Promoter Boris Marhansky outlined what cards he wants to bet on during the gala evenings.

The next RFA tournament will take place this Saturday in Bratislava

This weekend we will see a tournament called the RFA Grand Opening at the NTC Arena in Bratislava, where the new faces of the organization will be the draws in front of a crowd of 4,500. In the main match of the evening, Milan Ďatelinka will face Serbian Nenad Avramovic.

The international card features names such as Sebastian Fapšo, Bernard Plavec, Jozef Wittner and Miroslav Brož, among others. Leo Brichta, the organization’s biggest star, was also scheduled to play in the tournament, but an injury has reportedly delayed his return to the cage until July.

The promoter of the organization, Boris Marhansky, promises that within a few years the organization will dominate the fight scene on home soil. He is betting not only on the loaded cards, but also on the show that is to accompany the galas. After all, hints that the tournaments will feature stars of the domestic show business could be seen already at the first tournament called Warm Up in March.

“Our whole team is working on a hundred and twenty percent, especially we are preparing a big audiovisual show, which has never been seen on the Czech-Slovak scene before,” Marhanský confirms in an interview for Sport.cz. “The best Czech and Slovak performers will be there,” promises the promoter.

“We have arranged the best companies for the audiovisual show, that means sound, lights, stage, LED lights,” he describes the preparation for the tournament. “We want each event to be interesting in a different way, to make it an experience for the people who come and feel like they are going to an NHL, NBA or UFC tournament,” he described the organization’s bold goal.

The organization is also targeting foreign fighters, and we will be able to see several of them at this gala alone. Marhansky also commented on the topic of foreign fighters. “We will see how foreign fighters will catch on here and what kind of performances they will give,” he said. “It is even possible that in the future some of them will be champions,” he added.

The tournament starts at 5pm on Saturday and can be watched on realsport.tv via purchased pay-per-view.
