Neuer surpasses the legendary Kahn and holds a new record! Lewandowski breaks 300 goals for Bayern

If Bayern didn’t act completely sovereign in the first two league rounds of the new season, they made up for it on Saturday. It was Hertha Berlin who took the hit, losing 5:0 in Munich.
In the first round a 1-1 draw at Borussia Mönchengladbach, in the second round a close 3-2 win over Cologne. Only the third Bundesliga game this season saw Bayern dominate the game.
Hertha left Munich for Berlin with a 5:0 drubbing. And rightly so. Bayern looked fresh and hungry. They were getting chances and converting them.
Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick, and after three rounds he is the Bundesliga top scorer with five goals. But he also reached a very important anniversary at Bayern.
At the age of 33, he surpassed the 300-goal mark for the Bavarian club. In particular, he is now at 301. He only needed 333 competitive matches to achieve this.
He is only the second player in the club’s history to surpass this mark. The first and only one so far was Gerd Müller, the top scorer in Bayern’s history, who scored an incredible 523 goals for the club.
But Lewandowski wasn’t the only one to reach significant milestones. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer kept a clean sheet, which was the 205th in the Bundesliga. An exceptional feat.
And it is even more exceptional because it is a league record. It was previously held by the legendary Oliver Kahn with 204 nil. Neuer is still 35 years old, and given his form, he could well be catching for a few more years.
