Thursday’s football programme will feature a match between Neman Grodno and Vaduz in the Conference League. The home Belarusian team has a one-goal lead, while the visitors are looking to build on last year’s group stage qualification.

The season is in full swing in Belarus and Neman are doing well. They lead the league by a point over Dinamo Minsk. It has won four of its last five games and looks like it will really be aiming for the championship title after all these years.

Vaduz, however, have fresh cup experience after qualifying for the Conference League’s regular group last year. They have made it past Turkey’s Konyaspor and Austria’s Rapid Vienna, and this time they will have to work hard on the outside.

Neman’s key figures

Pavel Savitskiy has been firing on all cylinders in the Belarusians’ season opener, with the national winger netting nine goals and assisting twice. Egor Zubovich reigned supreme on the power play, scoring four times, including once against Vaduz.

Key figures of Vaduz

The visitors stand on goals from Tunahan Cicek, the offensive midfielder netted 16 goals and assisted five times last season. Talented top striker Dejan Djokic celebrated on 13 occasions, adding four assists on four goals.

Betting tip

Nemen is not doing well at home, winning only three of the last six games here. Their last home game was against Bate Borisov in the league. Paradoxically, they are almost 100% away, but at home they are not.

Vaduz has it the other way around, it is better away, it has lost only one of its seven away games. The successes outside Switzerland also symbolised last year’s cup journey, with wins at both Rapid and Konyaspor reaching the group stage.

Considering Neman’s home woes, on the contrary Vaduz’s very good away form, and the away side’s experience in the Conference League last year, it can be predicted that Vaduz’s players will win in normal time and take the game to at least extra time.
