NBA Cup MVP Lebron James leads Los Angeles Lakers to new trophy

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers in the finals of the first edition of the NBA Cup (123:109). Lebron James contributed 24 points, but his teammate Anthony Davis dominated the finals, scoring 40 points.

However, Lebron James won the NBA Cup MVP award for himself. The entire Lakers team showed that after a lukewarm start to the season, they can work hard when it counts. And it bodes well for the playoffs, even though there are still over 6 dozen regular season games to go.

The Lakers controlled virtually the entire final game. That made the predictions that they were favored come true.
