The Czech national football team has made another nomination before the national team meeting, where they will play friendly matches against Faroe Islands and Turkey. However, the nomination was significantly affected by the boycott of several league teams. So what will be the line-up?
Coach Jaroslav Šilhavy did not have an easy job in front of him. Sparta were the first to announce that they would not allow their players to attend the national team meeting due to the disagreement over the change of the date of the MOL Cup eight-finals.
In Saturday’s game at Baník Ostrava, which is played on the same day as the match with Turkey, it would lose several players, without whom it logically does not intend to do without in an important match.
Viktoria Plzeň, who are worried about injuries after a difficult autumn, Slavia Prague and Baník Ostrava will join them. All the reasons are understandable, but the nomination was more than significantly affected.
So who can we expect to see? In goal, the trio of Tomáš Koubek, Jiří Pavlenka and Matouš Trmal. There are also several experienced names in the defence, Jakub Brabec, Vladimír Coufal, Aleš Matějů and David Zima.
The less experienced ones, at least as far as the national team is concerned, include Matěj Chaluš, Dominik Plechatý, Fabrizio Stronati and Ondřej Zmrzlý.
There are not many names in the midfield. Antonín Barák, Václav Černý, Alex Král, Petr Schwarz, Tomáš Souček and Jaromír Zmrhal can start the double match.
There are four players in the attack so far. Adam Hložek with Patrik Schick, who will arrive depending on his health condition, is supplemented by Martin Doležal with Mojmir Chytil, who should get a chance especially in the opening match.
The players from Olomouc Sigma will probably disconnect from the team after the first match, because after that they play the MOL Cup semi-final match against Zbrojovka Brno.
The Czechs will play two matches during the national team reunion. The clash with Faroe Islands will take place on 16 November in Olomouc, three days later the Czech team will visit Turkey.
