Nate Diaz has let go of Chimaev! It was embarrassing, boring and mean, he assessed his performance and behaviour before the tournament
The UFC 279 tournament has reached the consciousness of a huge mass of people. The reason for this was not only the quality of the card, but also the pre-tournament problems that Khamzat Chimaev in particular was involved in. He instigated a fight, then failed to make weight and ended up fighting another opponent. What did Nate Diaz say about him?
The UFC 279 tournament has reached the consciousness of a huge mass of people. The reason for this was not only the quality of the card, but also the pre-tournament problems that Khamzat Chimaev in particular was involved in. He instigated a fight, then failed to make weight and ended up fighting another opponent. What did Nate Diaz say about him?
Khamzat Chimaev provoked a mass brawl before the press conference, then failed to make weight by almost four pounds and then got another opponent, which was Kevin Holland.
He handled it without any problems, and so did Nate Diaz, who was given a Swedish wrestler Tony Ferguson as an opponent, whom he defeated in the fourth round.
Diaz was asked after the tournament if he had seen the Chimaev fight. And in response, the 37-year-old fighter revealed that he really has no love for Chimaev.
“It was really awkward, scared, boring, rookie, mean, lame and c*nty. All of those things,” he said at the press conference.
Chimaev responded to those words and didn’t mince words either. According to him, Diaz can be happy that he scored another win, as he wouldn’t have had it so easy with him.
“Nate can thank God that it worked out the way it did. That he fought Tony and not me. He’d be dead now, his career would be completely buried. This is how he walks away with his chin lifted for beating the embarrassing, lackluster and slow Ferguson,” Chimaev said.
