On Thursday, Slavia reached the quarter-finals of the European Conference League and now they can look forward to another attractive opponent. How did the draw of the third most prestigious club competition turn out?
Although the European Conference League is only the third most prestigious club competition, it still offers attractive and interesting matches. In addition, Prague Slavia can still think about success, as they completed their promotion over LASK Linz on Thursday.
In the quarter-finals, they could have faced some interesting opponents, but in the end the lot assigned them the unpleasant Feyenoord, whom the Sevivians have faced twice already in the autumn and who they will definitely not be happy about.
Feyenoord won their first group match against Slavia 2-1, and despite playing most of the game shorthanded in Prague, they drew 2-2. The Dutch team will also start this double-header on home soil.
AS Rome will also relive unpleasant memories when they face Bodø/Glimt. Olympique Marseille will play PAOK Thessaloniki, while Leicester will take on PSV Eindhoven.
Should Slavia advance to the semi-finals, they would have home advantage in the first leg. It would face the winner of Marseille vs. PAOK.
The first quarter-final match will be played on Thursday 7 April, with the rematch scheduled for 14 April. The semi-finals will take place on 28 April and 5 May.
The final, which is undoubtedly the dream of each of the remaining participants in the competition, will take place on Wednesday 25 May. For the first time in history, Albania will host the final match of a UEFA tournament, specifically Tirana’s Arena Kombëtare with a capacity of 21,690 spectators.
