The dream of the title is still alive! They inflicted a shameful debacle on the Turin side and the fans had reason to celebrate.

And Juventus, who had a chance to erase the Partenopei’s lead, completely failed. For the magic of the sanctuary named after Diego Maradona was in full effect on Friday night and unprecedented things happened.

After 39 minutes it was already two-nil when Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvartskhelia pushed through. Three minutes later, Ángel Di María did reduce the deficit, but that was the last Juventus would score.

After that, only the home team scored. Amir Rrahmani, Osimhen and Eljif Elmas added the final touch.

Juventus suffered their biggest debacle since May 1993 when they were beaten 5-1 by Genoa.

For Napoli, it was the second match in history in which they had scored five times against Juventus. The spectacular moment was also noted by Serie A’s official social media channels.

Unsurprisingly, spectacular celebrations broke out in Naples. There is plenty of reason to rejoice. The footage from the city, however, resembles a celebration of winning the title, not a “mere” disgrace to one of the biggest rivals.
