Naples in fear! Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen will probably leave the club

Napoli hired the experienced Antonio Conte as head coach. However, the Italian manager has to deal with questions about his biggest stars right from the start of his engagement. He got into a verbal shootout with Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia through the media. The city under Vesuvius is likely to have a hot summer.
No sooner had the Italian strategist taken the helm in Naples than immediately journalists fired questions at him about the team’s biggest stars. “Kvaratskhelia and Di Lorenzo are the key players of the team, I am quite clear about that. Furthermore, even Lobotka or Zambo Anguissa are untouchable,” Conte said right from the start.
The Italian did not mention one player. Victor Osimhen did not have as good a season as the championship one. The star Nigerian forward scored 17 goals in 32 games, Osimhen wasted a number of chances and had several bad relations with the club’s staff.
So journalists had to inquire about the Nigerian forward. “I am clear about the situation. Viktor has an agreement with the club regarding his future and I accept it. The situation is different for him than for other players,” the Italian manager replied. In case of a good financial offer, the fast forward will probably change his jersey.
Kvaratskhelia got into a verbal altercation
Kvaratskhelia is having a great season. At the European Championship, he scored in the net of the favoured Portugal and shot his country’s historic qualification to the knockout stage. Georgia will face Spain in the eighth round, another of the tournament’s favourites. “I’m focusing on the match against Spain. I will decide my future later,” he said in a post-match interview.
Why did the journalists ask about his future? The explanation is simple, several big clubs are interested in the Georgian winger, but Conte said he is not going anywhere. “There are no ambiguities, Kvaratskhelia will stay in Naples. The situation is absolutely clear,” Conte uttered.
” There are no problems with Khvicha. He is still under contract and we will offer him a new one.” Like Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia has experienced a downturn in his game, scoring only 11 goals and 9 assists this season. He set the bar in his championship season at 14 goals and 17 assists, and he couldn’t even think about those numbers this year.
But the Georgian star may have jinxed himself with his post-game interview at the Euros. “I respect Conte, he is one of the best coaches. I also respect Napoli, which I love. But I will decide my future after the tournament,” the star winger said. Fans who know Conte probably suspect that the answer through the media might not be to the Italian manager’s liking.
