Nacional Medellin vs. Tolima: Preview and betting tips
Nacional Medellin will face the home leg of the Colombian league final on Thursday. They will face Tolima, who have a better record in their last encounter. What to expect and what to bet on?
Medellin did well in the second leg of the Colombian league, winning their group by four points ahead of second-placed CDP Junior. They are in decent form, winning three of their last four games and have not lost in six matches.
Tolima again dominated Group B and are ideally placed for the last phase of the league. It has also won three of its last four games, and its record of only one loss in its last sixteen games is respectable.
Offensive midfielder and Colombian international Jarlan Barrera shines in the home team’s jersey, scoring four times and assisting four times. Jefferson Duque is battling at the tip of the attack, the experienced hitman has scored eight goals and assisted on three.
On the away side, winger Ánderson Plata shines, scoring ten goals and assisting on five through all competitions. It was the spearhead striker and Colombia international Michael Rangel who scored eight times and assisted twice.
Medellin’s attack seems to have stopped working, scoring just three goals in the last three rounds, and came up completely empty against Millonarios.
Reciprocal games are also playing well for Tolima, losing only one of the last ten games against Medellin.
Considering Tolima’s very good form and the results of the last mutual matches, I expect the visitors not to lose.
