My relationship with Guardiola? Sometimes it’s brutal, admits sharpshooter Erling Haaland

Manchester City have been one of the best teams in the world for the last few years, only they have failed to confirm it by winning the Champions League. It was also to do that that Erling Haaland came to the Etihad Stadium a year ago.
He broke records with his extreme productivity and helped lead to the dream treble. However, the 23-year-old striker has not had it easy. He is being guided by Pep Guardiola. It’s not enough to score goals.
It’s not rare for Haaland to have more than one goal after half-time and for Guardiola to go at him on the pitch as he goes into the dressing room. Even if it’s so the cameramen can catch it.
So there is a lot of speculation about the Norwegian cannonballer’s relationship with the Catalan strategist. However, Haaland has now spoken out on the subject in an interview with France Football.
“Pep really demands a lot from you. With such a demanding coach, you can’t be sloppy. That’s the way he coaches. We can say it’s really brutal sometimes, but I like it. Itshows that he’s engaged and passionate,” Haaland says.
“It’s not always pleasant, but at the same time it exposes you to the hard truth and I know his goal is to make me a better player. We share the same love for the game and I still have the desire to try and achieve the same or better performances as last season,” he added.
Haaland has so far played 59 competitive games in a Manchester City jersey with an incredible record of 58 goals scored and 10 assists.
