Makhmud Muradov has another fight in the UFC. In the most prestigious MMA organization in the world, he will face Brazilian Cai Borralh at the 280 tournament in the United Arab Emirates. What did he say before he left?
Already this weekend, Makhmud Muradov will face Cai Borralh at the UFC 280 tournament in Abu Dhabi. The latter lost his last fight in 2016, so the former Octagon fighter is not going to have an easy job.
This may be due to a longer layoff, as he last fought last August when he lost to Gerald Meerschaert.
“I haven’t fought for over a year, it’s the first time in my career that I’ve had such a long break. But the preparation was good, which you can see in my face, I took some hits, but the preparation was good. I was in Uzbekistan in the mountains and the second phase was in Poland,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
He was supposed to have a match earlier, he was supposed to participate in a tournament in France, but due to visa reasons his return had to be moved to the United Arab Emirates.
“There was a thing where they cancelled my papers and kicked me out of the Czech Republic. There were a lot of good and bad things written. Not all media write the truth, sometimes they wrote God knows what. You can’t trust everybody 100 percent, but everybody is not the same.
When the UFC saw a problem, they didn’t want to take any risks, so they wanted to move the fight to Abu Dhabi or to the USA because I have a visa there. Then they gave me a Brazilian to fight, I don’t care who, where, at the beginning of the card, at the end, I don’t care. As long as I have a fight in the UFC, I’m going for the win,” he added.
UFC 280 is scheduled for October 22. Together with Muradov, we can look forward to, for example, the duel of Charles Oliveira with Islam Makhachev,or Aljamain Sterling or Peter Yan.
