Muhammad Ali is a boxing legend and his grandchildren want to follow in his footsteps. But one of them in particular is thriving, albeit under the rules of MMA. That’s because Biaggio Ali Walsh shines in the PFL organization, delivering yet another knockout on Friday night.
He’s following in the footsteps of his famous grandfather Muhammad Ali
One of the best boxers of all time would be proud. Indeed, two of his grandsons are carrying on his legacy and building their careers in combat sports. Nico Ali Walsh is trying to make it in boxing and currently holds an 8-1 record, suffering his first ever defeat in August this year.
It is Biaggio Ali Walsh, for a change, who is building his brand in the PFL organisation, with the organisation itself understandably taking due pride in having Muhammad Ali’s grandson under its banner.
Biaggio is 25 years old, and so far he’s doing great. It should be mentioned, however, that PFL fans sometimes criticize the organization for being too hands-off with Ali’s choice of opponents and for not wanting to let Walsh lose.
In MMA, however, every fight is dangerous and nothing is a foregone conclusion. Anything can happen. However, in the second best organization on the planet, which recently bought out Bellator, Ali is still undefeated.
Ali Walsh scored another stoppage in the PFL
Biaggio Ali Walsh has been fighting in the PFL since November 2022. He scored his fifth fight under the organization’s lid on Friday night. So his workload is not light. The last time he fought was in August, and he scored one of the hard KOs then.
He’s totaled five in five fights in the PFL. He holds a 6-1 record in his MMA career and has finished all six of his fights by KO/TKO before the limit. Four times he has ended the fight in the first round, twice in the second.
At the last gala, he faced the previously undefeated Joel Galarza Lopez, who held a 3-0 record and won twice by submission. So it was expected that he might give Ali a slight setback. However, by the second round it was all over.
For Walsh launched a crushing offensive and finished his opponent soundly at 1:24 of the second round.
