Muchova improved her career best, Kvitova and Krejcikova also improved their position. What does the updated WTA ranking look like?

Karolína Muchová had a great tournament, she reached the final at Roland Garros and won a rocket in the world ranking. Barbora Krejcikova and Petra Kvitova also improved their ranking. How are our players doing?

Quite surprisingly, the most successful representative of the Czech Republic at this year’s Roland Garros was the Moravian tennis player Karolína Muchová. She gave a great performance, faced tough opponents and reached the final.

However, the Olomouc native did not bring her spectacular campaign to a successful end, when she fell short in the final to the world number one Iga Šwiatek. Nevertheless, she left a great impression and can rejoice in a big move in the WTA rankings.

Muchová improved her position by 27 places. She is currently ranked at a nice 16th position, never better in her career.

The 26-year-old is now the third best tennis player from our country. Barbora Krejcikova and Petra Kvitova are better off. Both of them dropped out of Roland Garros in the first round, but they still moved up in the WTA rankings.

Krejcikova is now at a nice 12th position, Kvitova has even moved up to 9th.

On the other hand, Karolina Pliskova has seen a slight drop. She, like Kvitova and Krejcikova, dropped out in the first round of the French Open and is now ranked 18th.

As for the other Czech players, Marie Bouzkova (33rd) and Linda Noskova (50th) remain unchanged in the rankings. Markéta Vondroušová moved up 7 positions to 53rd, Kateřina Siniaková dropped 6 places to 54th.

Linda Fruhvirtova is in 58th position and there are no more representatives in the top 100. Tereza Martincová (121st place) dropped out of the list. 16-year-old rising star Brenda Fruhvirtová moved up 13 places to 133rd position.
