Much respect for the Danish captain! Thanks to him, Eriksen is still with us
Simon Kjaer, the Danish captain, has a lot to do with Eriksen being stable and conscious. The Dane got Eriksen in the right position, rallied the team around his teammate and comforted his wife.

Many people probably already know what happened in the Denmark-Finland game. Denmark’s constructive offensive midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field and had to be given a cardiac massage.
Danish captain Simon Kjaer immediately ran over to Eriksen, made sure his tongue wasn’t stuck in and put him in a position to keep his tongue from becoming unconscious.
He then immediately summoned medical help and called the players to make a circle around Eriksen and the doctors to prevent the media from taking footage.
When he was sure his teammates were nearby, he and goalie Kasper Schmeichel ran to comfort Eriksen’s wife.
After Eriksen was stabilized and taken to the hospital, Eriksen himself reportedly called his teammates and asked them to finish the game against Finland. The Danes ended up unluckily losing 0:1 when Pohjanpalo scored from the only Finnish shot on goal.
Kjaer acted like a good captain and deserves a lot of respect.
