The owners of the MotoGP series have announced two big news in recent weeks, and these have been the addition of two more destinations to the racing calendar.
As a result, Dorna recently confirmed that the Indian Grand Prix will be on the schedule next season.
And then last week it was announced that a five-year deal has been signed with Kazakhstan to host a race on the so-called Sokol Circuit.
If both races are held, this will ensure the largest number of Grands Prix in a season in MotoGP history. The big unpleasant surprise, however, is the absence of the Aragon Grand Prix. You can see the provisional calendar for the 2023 season for yourself in the video below.
However, according to the latest information, Aragon has signed a contract with MotoGP, as have Jerez, Catalunya, Valencia and Portimao. Thus, if necessary, one of the tracks can be replaced during the 2023 season.
MotoGP is also coming up with sprint races from the upcoming season, taking inspiration from the queen of motorsport – Formula 1.
However, in the World Road Motorcycle Championship, fans can look forward to a sprint in every Grand Prix. This means that there will be 42 Grands Prix in 21 race weekends.
