The final break-up of PSG’s star offensive trio? Lionel Messi is gone, Kylian Mbappé is out and the hottest news is that Neymar has reportedly asked for a transfer and would like to leave during the summer. What are his options?

Things are falling apart in Paris. There is a lot of speculation around the PSG team, according to the French media there is not a good atmosphere in the club and the French league starts next week. To make matters worse, it is still undecided in what line-up the French champion will play.

It is quite possible that none of the star trio will stay at PSG. Lionel Messi is already rocking the Inter Miami jersey. Kylian Mbappé is out of the squad and they are sorting out where and on what terms he will spend next season, and now Neymar is also set to cause problems.

There is talk of the Brazilian leaving Paris every transfer window, but now the speculation seems more real than ever. The reasons for this are the aforementioned atmosphere, the way Mbappé is treated or the coldness towards Messi.

Neymar is 31 years old. So he still has a few years at the top ahead of him. It’s just a question of how he will fare health-wise. He has only managed more than 20 league games once since he joined PSG, and that was 22. He may have great numbers, but that may not be enough for those interested.

Still, there is interest in him. According to RMC Sport, Chelsea of London are in talks for his transfer. But there are also clubs from Saudi Arabia and Brazil.

The ESPN server reports that PSG is resigned to Neymar’s departure. It is even considering to comply with offers for a guest appearance with an option for a permanent transfer. This could get Barcelona, for example, into the game, where the Brazilian himself would like to return.

Barcelona, however, have financial problems and Neymar earns more than 30 million euros per season. This could be a complication for other clubs interested in the footballer.
