Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté or Rubén Neves – these are the players who have already agreed to move outside Europe this year. And now more are likely to join. Two current Barcelona players may follow Messi to Inter Miami.

According to Football España, Inter Miami have agreed a deal with another great player. This time, Jordi Alba is in the American team’s sights.

The thirty-four year old central defender will leave Barcelona at the end of June this year as his contract is up at Camp Nou. This is after he had already agreed with the Catalan giant’s management to end his cooperation a year earlier.

Alba has been linked mainly with two European big clubs in recent times – Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan. However, as things stand now, a transfer on the European field is unlikely to happen.

The well-known Spanish sports website Mundo Deportivo reports that the details of the transfer are almost ready.

However, Alba should fit into the TAM (Targeted Allocation Money) category, i.e. players whose salary will be contributed to the club by MLS itself.

Moreover, the Spanish international is not the only one who could join Inter Miami in the summer. In fact, the American club is also negotiating the transfer of Sergio Busquets, who is also set to leave the Catalan club.

Alba came to Barcelona in 2012, from Valencia, for the sum of 14 million euros. During that time, he played 459 competitive matches there, in which he scored 27 goals and also recorded 99 assists.

With Barcelona, he won the Champions League, the title six times, the Club World Cup once, the Copa del Rey five times and the Supercopa de España four times.
