More injuries? Paul Pogba failed to finish Juventus training and requested to go to the dressing room
Paul Pogba changed his employer in this summer’s transfer window when he decided to leave Manchester United and return to Juventus. He has so far started one game for the Old Lady, but was injured in a recent training session and limped off to the locker room.
Paul Pogba changed his employer in this summer’s transfer window when he decided to leave Manchester United and return to Juventus. He has so far started one game for the Old Lady, but was injured in a recent training session and limped off to the locker room.
Juventus Turin are currently on their usual pre-season tour across the USA, and on Saturday 23 July, with Pogba in the line-up, they came away with a comfortable 2-0 win over Guadalajara.
In that match, Pogba and his teammates played only the first half, after which coach Massimiliano Allegri rotated the lineup as part of a tough training session for the new season.
The Bianconeri’s next preparatory match is on Wednesday 27 July when they face Barcelona. However, it is questionable whether the French international, who according to Football Italia, was injured in a recent training session, required medical attention and limped off the pitch.
However, he had to be helped into the Juventus cabin by two members of the management team. But as he left the pitch, he gave a thumbs up to Allegri and all his teammates to indicate that it was nothing serious.
It should be noted Pogba is indeed injury prone, having missed part of the season due to hamstring and calf problems.
We will have to wait for some more news from the Italian team regarding Pogba’s injury, but one thing is already certain. If Juventus want to contend for the Italian Scudetto again, they need Pogba healthy.
However, with roughly three weeks to go until the start of Serie A, Pogba should have time to heal some minor injuries.
