More changes in Barcelona. The club is thinking about selling a 60 million star
There is no boredom in Barcelona. Club president Joan Laporta’s hands are tied in buying reinforcements due to the club’s high debts and when he finally commits to spending a large sum, the player is not doing what is expected of him.

There is no boredom in Barcelona
Joan Laporta doesn’t have much choice. When he wants to bring new reinforcements to Barcelona, he has to look mainly for free agents or guest players. If he wanted to buy players for money, he had to sell off part of the club’s future.
One of the players Barcelona invested in is Raphinha. The Culés paid 60 million euros for the Brazilian winger from Leeds, but the 26-year-old may be looking for a new deal in the summer after two years.
At times this season he has been replaced in the starting line-up by the only 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, Raphinha has not been giving performances that appeal to the management or the fans.
And according to Catalan newspaper Diario Sport, Raphinha could be sold in the summer. His situation should be analysed more closely after the end of the season.
Xavi cannot be happy with his team’s performance. In La Liga, the Blaugranas are only in fourth place, already seven points behind first-placed Girona, from whom they got four goals at home on Sunday. They are five points behind second-placed Real Madrid.
Reinforcements in January?
The problem is that Barcelona can’t particularly strengthen the squad because they simply can’t afford it at the moment. Therefore, the club would be helped by selling players with more value, such as Raphinha, who, according to Transfermarkt, is worth the 60 million euros that Barcelona paid for the Brazilian.
Meanwhile, Barcelona already paid 30 million for Vítor Roque in August, the Brazilian super talent was supposed to join the attack in January. However, due to financial problems, it was not sure if the transfer would be completed, but in the last few days there have been speculations that everything is ready and Roque will indeed arrive in Barcelona in January. This would be a big boost for Xavi in attack, but at the same time the management would have a hard time bringing in more reinforcements.
