Álvaro Morata has several top clubs on his CV. But football fans are amused when he says it was his dream every time. The Spaniard would say the same thing about a move to Saudi Arabia.
Real Madrid, Juventus, Real Madrid again, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, Juventus again and Atlético Madrid once more. This is the career of Álvaro Morata.
Moreover, the Spanish striker drew attention to himself by stating for each engagement that it was a dream for him to play for that team. This made him the laughing stock of the fans.
The most humorous thing happened after his transfer to Atlético Madrid. In fact, Morata went through the youth of the city rival to the A team, where he had the best year of his career in the 2016/17 season.
However, he also played in the Colchoneros jersey in the youth, and he took advantage of this situation to say that it was actually his dream to play for Atlético, and even playing for Real was against him.
In the summer, another Morata transfer was imminent. There was a lot of interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, who were willing to put a huge amount of money on the table.
“I had options from Saudi Arabia. I don’t know if the teams that want me are crazy or something, but I always have options, ” Morata said in an interview with El Larguero.
Regarding the famous line about his dream club, Morata can even make jokes himself. “I joke about it myself, that playing somewhere is my dream since I was a kid. But which kids wouldn’t like to play for the clubs I played for?” explains the 30-year-old midfielder.
And he would say the same thing when he moves to Saudi Arabia. “Yes, I would say it was my dream to piss off people who want to hurt me. Yes, I would say that,” Morata laughed at reporters.
