There has been a lot of talk lately about fighter payouts in the UFC. Francis Ngannou is now facing a title defense, however, he wants to talk to the organization after his contract ends as he feels he is underpaid.

Cameroonian fighter Francis Ngannou will be defending his heavyweight title next week, but after that he only has one fight left on his contract.

But Ngannou has no intention of renewing his contract under the current terms as he feels he is not being paid enough.

“I know that the UFC wants to keep me and I would like to stay in the UFC myself, but I repeat myself, it’s not going to happen without resolving my financial situation,” he said in an interview with ESPN.

“I’m not going to fight for some $500,000 or $600,000 anymore, those days are long gone. I deserve much, much more. I want to make sure the organization values my qualities, ” he added.

He also said money is his priority. In addition, Ngannou wants a fight with Tyson Fury, but it’s not under the UFC banner.

Such a fight would interest a large number of people and the Cameroonian will want to pay for it properly. If the UFC wants to keep him, they’ll have to loosen the belts a bit.
