Mönchengladbach are not experiencing a bad start to the season at all. First, they advanced to the second round of the League Cup after a big 9:0 win, then they beat Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga and drew with newcomer Schalke.
Hertha are doing exactly the opposite. They were knocked out of the cup after a penalty shootout and did not even improve their taste in the Berlin derby, which they lost 1:3. At home against Frankfurt they at least got a point for a 1-1 draw.
The French striker and international has already scored five goals and assisted twice in three games. German winger Jonas Hofmann has scored three times and assisted two more.
On the away side, Dodi Lukébakio is the only player with more than one goal, with the Belgian international boasting a 3+2 record. Montenegrin football icon Stefan Jovetic has been setting up goals, with two assists.
Mönchengladbach’s attack has been working since the start of the season, scoring an average of 4.66 goals per game.
On the other hand, the Berliners have struggled defensively, scoring more than once in four of their last five games, and have waited seven games for a clean sheet.
Considering Mönchengladbach’s shooting form and especially the qualities of striker Thurram, I think the home side will tear apart their opponent’s weak defence and win.
