The comments also recall 1991. That’s when Sparta knocked out Olympique Marseille in the Champions League.

In their first match in Marseille, they lost 3:2 to the home team. But in the end, after a 2:1 home win, they advanced thanks to two goals on the opponent’s ground.

How Sparta will fare against the French team this time, we will find out on August 3 and 10. The first match will be played at Letná in Prague, the rematch at Stade Louis II a week later.

Leten could have an advantage, as it will be the first competitive match of the season for Monaco.
