Following interest from several European clubs, it is very likely that Lazio Roma midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will move to Saudi Arabia. The player himself has reportedly already agreed to personal terms, with Lazio demanding €40 million in cash.

Just a few dozen hours ago, it looked like Milinkovic-Savic and his transfer from Lazio to another club would not be such a simple matter.

Although several European big clubs were interested in him, including Juventus, Inter and Arsenal, none of them were willing to meet Lazio’s demand in terms of transfer fee.

In fact, the Roman outfit are demanding €40 million in net cash for their central midfielder. This offer was reportedly made on Monday by Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal, who are planning to pay the aforementioned 40 million for Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serbian international is expected to fly to Saudi Arabia within the next 24 hours, where he will undergo a medical examination.

According to Football Italia, Milinkovic-Savic has also already agreed to personal terms. Under the new contract, he would earn €20 million per season, signing for Al Hilal, as it currently stands, for four years.

And as already reported by well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano, both clubs are waiting for a document check. In fact, the Italian club intends to approve the deal, but only if they receive the €40 million in cash for the 28-year-old.

Milinkovic-Savic at Lazio

The Serbian midfielder transferred to Lazio in August 2015, when the Romans sent €12 million to Genk for him. Since then, his market value has understandably risen, currently standing at €50 million according to Transfermarkt .

Milinkovic-Savic has played 341 games for Lazio, in which he recorded a record of 69 goals scored and 59 assists.
