While the other three Copa Italia quarter-finals were a great struggle, Juventus’ match with Frosinone ended clearly 4-0. The Old Lady didn’t even have to field the strongest line-up, with Arkadiusz Milik in the top four.

Juventus entered the match very actively and after a foul by Polo Lirola they were awarded a penalty in the ninth minute. It still had to be reviewed by VAR, but after approval Arkadiusz Milik took the ball and opened the scoring with a shot to the left post.

The visitors then responded, Abdou Harroui first heading into the middle of the box, then Arijon Ibrahimovic was no match for the Juventus goalkeeper. In the 26th minute, the home side’s Fabio Miretti shot was the better chance until Filip Kostic’s groove, which ended up over.

Five minutes later, Milik headed but it was wide of the right post. Ibrahimovic, the most active of the visitors, shot again in the 36th minute, but the Juventus defence knocked his shot away for a corner. Two minutes later the home side celebrated, Milik struck for the second time in the match.

In the 40th minute, it could have been all over, but Timothy Weah’s shot was just wide of the target. After the change of sides, the clear picture of the game continued, but Weston McKennie’s 46th minute shot was saved by Michele Cerofolini with a great save.

Two minutes later, Old Lady were celebrating as Milik completed his hat-trick after a big mistake by the visitors. The favourite was having fun with the game, action followed action and the Polish striker scored with everything he had. In the 57th minute he struck for the fourth time, but this time his joy was taken away by an offside.

But it took only four minutes and the joy was regular, 18-year-old Kenan Yildiz sending the ball to the left post. After that the favourite slowed down until fresh-faced Hans Nicolussi Caviglia struck again in the 73rd. From distance, he narrowly missed the Frosinone goal.

The end of the game was quiet, with both teams playing in the league this weekend. Frosinone didn’t give much of a chance in the set-up and fell 0:4. The top four teams were Lazio Rome, Bologna and Atalanta Bergamo.
