Mikel Arteta praised Arsenal fans after derby and thanked them for helping him win

Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal coach, after winning the North London derby dedicated a few words at the press conference to the Canaries’ devoted fans who supported their players throughout the match and helped to liven up the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium.

“This victory belongs to all our fans!” arteta said at the press conference. “They were unbelievable, they supported us throughout the game and helped us a lot in the most important moments,” he continued enthusiastically.

The Emirates Stadium was sold out. For the home side, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang and Saka made consecutive goals in the first half. Each goal was accompanied by incredible cheering and chanting.

Arsenal fans stood by their team at every moment. The good atmosphere continued in the second half and then after the game, which ended in a 3-1 win for Arsenal.

“You can’t dream and experience a better atmosphere than what was available to us today. It was one of the best feelings I’ve had in this stadium. It was a great opportunity to put on a good show in front of the fans, we did exactly what we wanted to do and deservedly won.

The connection between the team and the fans is something really special. We want to play for our fans and entertain them, we want them to be proud of us,” was another comment from Arteta to the red and white fans.

They can be really proud of their team. After a poor start to the season, Arsenal have tuned into the right wave. It has recorded several wins in a row, moving from last place to tenth, overtaking one of its biggest rivals (Tottenham – ed.).

Arsenal will play their next game against Brighton, where they will try to maintain their good form, win and move up the English Premier League table again. Tottenham, on the other hand, wants to forget the failed derby as soon as possible.

They will try to improve their mood on Thursday in the European Conference League, and at the weekend in the domestic top flight, where they will play Aston Villa.
