Mike Tyson, former heavyweight boxing champion and the scariest man on the planet, reportedly one day stood up to Donald Trump.

Tyson’s confrontation with Trump

Mike Tyson, who is famous for his violent temper and many controversies in addition to his illustrious career as a boxer, confronted former US President Donald Trump, according to Sport Bible.

The author of Trump’s biography, Tim O’Brien, claims that the former world heavyweight champion confronted the President of the United States over an affair with his then-wife Robin Givens. As they walked past each other one day, Tyson stopped Trump, scaring the world-famous billionaire.

“Can I ask you, are you f**king my wife?” a raging Tyson reportedly asked without missing a beat. O’Brien quotes Trump as saying he looked very scared after the meeting. “I could have just been dead,” a terrified Trump blurted out , according to the Sport Bible. The billionaire’s response to “Iron Mike” is not part of the book, so it is not known how true the allegations are.

Trump financed the Tyson-Spinks fight

Tyson and Trump have a history dating back to the late 1980s. It was Donald Trump who reportedly offered a staggering $11 million to stage Tyson’s fight with Michael Spinks at the Atlantic City Convention Hall, adjacent to his own Trump Plaza in New Jersey.

Tyson was 21 years old at the time and the fight became famous for his utter demolition of then undefeated champion Spinks in the first round. Tyson knocked out his opponent in just 91 seconds to win the world heavyweight championship belt.

The friendship between Tyson and Trump, despite the reported incident, still exists today and Tyson even supported Trump in his successful 2016 presidential campaign.

In November 2020, Tyson once again donned the boxing gloves in an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr. But recently the 55-year-old boxer, who met Jiri Prochazka in Los Angeles, USA, this week, let it be known that he is unlikely to return to the ring.
