Midtjylland, after a disappointing first leg of their Champions League qualifier, have to focus on the league before the return leg when they welcome Silkeborg at home. What to expect from the game and what can you bet on?
Midtjylland have not had an ideal start to the season, only drawing 1-1 with Randers in their league debut a week ago, and their Champions League qualifier at home to Larnaca the week before that.
Silkeborg is in the same position on the league scene, having drawn 2:2 with Lyngby in the opener, while still leading 2:0 in the fifty-fourth minute. Last year they were sensationally placed third, yet will be outsiders against Midtjylland.
The home team is led by winger Anders Dreyer, the Danish international scored ten times and assisted five times last season. Brazilian winger Júnior Brumado also hit the net ten times.
Nicklas Helenius shone on the away side, the experienced point forward scored eighteen times. Talented winger and Denmark U21 international Sebastian Jörgensen scored eleven goals and assisted three times.
Midtjylland hasn’t lost much since the summer training, only losing to Belgian Gent in five games and scoring eight goals during that period.
Moreover, Silkeborg have not been doing well away from home, having only taken a single point from their last three league games.
Given Silkeborg’s away form and Midtjylland’s shooting phase, it is therefore very likely that the home side will win.
