On Friday, Michal Martinek showed up at the Russian ACA tournament, and his fight with Denis Smoldarev was the main preliminary to the title fight between Tony Johnson and Mukhamad Vakhaev. Unfortunately, Martinek walked away defeated.
The ACA 132 tournament also offered a match of one Czech representative. Michal Martínek took on Estonian Denis Smoldarev in the heavyweight division.
The two-meter tall giant had a big height advantage, which he didn’t even have time to use. A little while after the start he let Martínek go, who fell to the ground, where he was subsequently finished.
The fight lasted only 32 seconds and the Czech fighter was definitely not satisfied with what he did in the octagon.
It must be said, however, that Smoldarev first headbutted him and then got hit in the back of the head. Neither is allowed and these are fouls.
Unfortunately, the referee didn’t notice it in the fight. Martinek can file a protest, but it probably wouldn’t solve anything anyway.
It is expected that Martínek will not file it and will have to accept defeat. But he didn’t complain about the fouls after the game.
