Lionel Messi and Neymar did not feature in PSG’s last match against Brest. However, even without these two mainstays, PSG won 4-2 against Brest.
And how did this duo make the most of the weekend off? According to the Spanish media, they decided to fly to Barcelona to see their former teammate Suárez, where they had dinner together with his family.
The star trio Messi, Suárez and Neymar were reunited after a long time. It has been four years since Neymar left Barcelona and it was as if he then heralded its gradual retreat from the world’s top flight.
Luis Suárez was the second to say goodbye to the Catalan fans, although his departure was not entirely intentional on his part. However, the club said goodbye to him and the Uruguayan marksman moved to Atlético Madrid, where he celebrated winning the championship title last season.
And this summer, Lionel Messi also left. Messi also originally wanted to stay at Barcelona, but the Spanish league’s rules on financial fair-play ultimately did not allow him to do so. So Messi was reunited with Neymar on the same team, this time at PSG in France.
