Me and a fourth baseman? Haaland reacts strongly to criticism from Manchester United legend

The battle for the league title in the English top flight is at its peak. Manchester City have already played 35 games and have 82 points. Third-placed Liverpool have only a mathematical chance of winning the valuable trophy, so Pep Guardiola’s charges can focus on the long-distance battle with Arsenal.
The London club is the current Premier League leader, but they have only one point on the Manchester club. This would not be a problem under normal circumstances, as the Citizens have one game in hand over their rivals in the battle for the league championship.
And it can’t be said that coach Guardiola’s team is losing its breath, quite the opposite. Manchester City defeated Wolves 5-1 on Saturday, after which Erling Haaland scored four goals.
The Norwegian sharpshooter responded to the recent criticism of him by Manchester United legend Roy Keane.
“The level of his overall game is terribly poor. Not only in this game. His finishing or headers in front of goal, he’s the best in the world at that, but his overall game is really poor,” Keane said in early April in the Sky Sports studio.
“He needs to improve. He’s almost like a League Two player when I look at him. He needs to work on himself for the next few years,” Keane added.
Haaland responded to recent criticism
In that time, Haaland has failed to score in five consecutive games. But now he has sent a clear message to the former United cannonballer. “I don’t really care about the guy, so it’s all good,” Haaland said after the game, quoted by the BBC.
Haaland has featured in 41 games in the current competition across all competitions, scoring 36 goals. Incidentally, he only needed 35 games in the Premier League last season to do that. In total, he scored 52 goals in the 2022/23 season.
