McGregor reacts to outweighing Chimaev by nearly four kilograms. He calls for punishing the rising star and warns the UFC
A rising star becomes a renegade in no time. At least in the eyes of many fans. Khamzat Chimaev not only missed weight by almost four kilograms, but also does not take it seriously enough and makes light of the situation. He has become the target of criticism and most recently Conor McGregor has taken a swipe at him.

Khamzat Chimaev not only missed weight by almost four kilograms, but also does not take it seriously enough and makes light of the situation. He has become the target of criticism and most recently Conor McGregor has taken a swipe at him.
It was supposed to be the highlight of the whole tournament, but the events at the press conference already indicated that everything would not be rosy. In fact, the teams of Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev got into it and UFC boss Dana White interrupted the press conference.
To make matters worse, talk immediately began about Chimaev not making weight. And the rumors were confirmed at the official weigh-in. It’s just not that the Swedish fighter is a few grams overweight. That could be survived. But he weighed almost four kilograms more than he should have.
And Chimaev wasn’t too sorry about the weight. After he got off the scale, he said it wasn’t so bad. He subsequently joked on social media, which certainly didn’t help.
Diaz subsequently turned down the fight, leading to speculation as to what would happen next. In the end, there were some big changes throughout the main card. Three fights were affected. Diaz will face Tony Ferguson, Chimaev will face Kevin Holland.
While the changes have been successful, many people say the entire card is now even more attractive than it was originally. Even the UFC boss praises it, however, according to Conor McGregor, Chimaev got off too lightly from the whole situation.
“They should have removed him from the whole card altogether. Switching up the fights so that he ends up with an even easier opponent will make other fighters follow suit. His smiles on the scale were enough for me. Throw him off the card,” the Irish phenom expressed on Twitter.
